Indigo magic #3: This silk has a turquoise hue and was dyed as a solid piece although some darkening/lightening appeared with it’s own organic flow of patterning. (the first photo of this silk outdoors is more true to color than the indoor photos)

Indigo dyed silks: Started from tiny seeds this spring in our greenhouse, moved to our new farm in Petrolia, and grown in the hot hot summer sunshine. These plants thrived and produced amazing leaves that I prepared into a vibrant green dye. The real magic happens once the air hits the silk because it’s the oxidation that creates this beautiful blue. Check out our instagram saved stories to see the full process.

Each scarf is unique in that every batch had it’s own special hue. I also used a couple of different methods when dyeing, so every single scarf is one of a kind with it’s own color & magical print. I tried my very best to photograph these and show their true essence and color. That being said, each silk really does look different in every light you take it in! When you receive your silk and hold it in your hands, I can assure you it will take on it’s own hue and special vibration.

Take Care: These are naturally dyed silks, they are going to change over time. Treat them gently, like a piece of art. They are tender and no chemicals or heat were used to set the indigo into them. If you need to wash them, which ideally would be as little as possible, then use cold water and a tiny bit of neutral natural soap and dry away from direct sunlight.

Uses: neck scarf, head scarf, tarot deck wrap, treasure keeper, pocket silk, altar decoration, the sky is the limit!

size: 17 in x 17 in

price: $33
