Fresh Indigo Dye Workshop On Our Farm!

It is with joy that I am offering a fresh indigo dye workshop at our beautiful farm in Petrolia, CA, on Saturday, July 13th, from 11am-3pm.

Have you ever wanted to see where that magical blue hue comes from? You will get to harvest the indigo, create dye, design your own silk kerchief, and go home with this magical treasure. I like to use mine as a head scarf, neck scarf, altar cloth, tarot deck wrap, and more!

Come hungry, I love love love cooking for my people! I will be making a delicious veggie centered meal and tea straight from the farm. Let me know if you have any allergies/food specifications beforehand, please!

The drive from Arcata/Eureka area is one of the most beautiful…It takes time and it’s best enjoyed nice and slow with breaks to smell the wild fennel and say hi to our beautiful ocean. Give yourself 2 hours from Arcata and you’ll be right on time. I will email directions to our farm once you’ve signed up! From Ferndale to my home, you won’t have service, so plan accordingly. Petrolia does not have cell reception, which is a nice opportunity to be phone-less, I swear it’s not too bad… ;) We have a home phone if need be.

If you feel like carpooling with a soon to be friend, or you know someone going to this workshop and want to hop in their car I can help coordinate that, so let me know!

If you’re looking for a mini vacation/total getaway, there are two campsites, one at the mouth of the Mattole River, and one up valley right ON the river, both divine. There are also a couple of Airbnb’s. I already know a couple of ladies that will most likely be staying at A.W. Way campground, so let me know if this is what sounds good to you!

What to bring: A big sun hat, clothes to protect your skin, sunscreen!

Am I forgetting something? Please let me know if you have ANY questions.

There is limited space, so if you are interested reserve your spot quickly!

You’ll go home with: new friends, an indigo silk, indigo seeds for your future garden, a full belly, and super happy heart.
